Telangana - Do we really need a new state ?

I am not Telugu , neither am I from Telangana nor from Andhra Pradesh . It may seem prudish on my part that I am concerned about this whole affair just because I am currently in Hyderabad . But if Telangana forms it will have  a good deal of effect on other areas . It would have a Domino effect on the other regions of the country where there is struggle for their own separate state .

New State ? Is it that bad ?
US of A has just a third of India's population and has 50 odd states then why cant India afford some more than 28 ?

In the past decade or so , we saw emergence of 3 new states on the face of Indian Map . These new states have certainly proved that "Child is the Father of the Man " . These newly formed states have not only recovered from the cobwebs of their previous states but in fact have overtaken them in key areas . So is the small way the new way ? Smaller the better ?
naaah .. Dont get carried away too easily . Now comes the factor which concerns me or rarther concerns every Indvidual living in Hyderabad . Separating Telangana wont be easy just for this fact .The situation is not as easy in Jharkhand, Uttarakhand or Chhattisgarh. Hyderabad is the key factor here. It can't be given to any state. The only option here is to keep it a common capital like Chandigarh but Hyderabad is not placed as Chandigarh which was in the middle of both the states

Land in Telangana cannot be cultivated as much as in Andhra, because of its geographic constraints. As I can see, around 60-70% of land cannot be used for cultivation. Andhra, being near the sea, has a rich underground water content, which makes the land cultivatable. Food grains in the state can be distributed within itself on a priority. When the states get separated the food needs to imported from other state and doesn't this develop egoism?

Also wont this lead to Balkanisation of India . Hasnt she suffered enough through the ages . This is a 'Tryst with Destiny ' that no one expected a year ago and even fewer people want it now .No Salman Rushdie to troubadour this travesty ….

This also serves to be the crowning example of the boundless, limitless, bottomless oppurtunism of the congress party . Though other parties are no less .But Congress, like any behemoth, merely exists for its own sake. Those who wear party colors will sell their soul in the name of party unity, discipline, and respect for ‘high command’. All politicians in India seem to behave thus. Perhaps, it is Indian character to be un-egotistic, and yet un-principled at the same time. Perhaps, it is a case of  filial piety being institutionalized.

What plagues INDIA ?

When any unassuming person talks about India , they talk about how great a nation it is. They are mystified by the myriad cultures , languages , religions , ethenecity ... blah blah blah.  All these disparities held together by a bond (though weak) called democracy. Not only we Indians but the whole world prides  in our democracy . In my opinion , all this glitters is not gold . The democracy has done more harm for our country than good .  It has bred diseases like corruption ,  vote politics , quota system regional divide and many others. The basic reason for that is that we are a democracy  and " sabko leke ke chalna hai" .
For the good of greater portion we are not ready to sacrifice the benefits of some . Infact its the otherway round in our country ... quite perplexing ?  isnt it?

Democracy implies thhat the power of the centre is limited and we the people have all the power . But is this good in a  conglomerate like ours ? Since there are so many disparities we hardly think alike and the politicians take advantage of this . Such practices have truly degraded the indian political scenario . In every election we have to settle for one of the lesser evils than choosing a worthy candidate. It has been  always easy to exploit indians . I even think the famous quote "United we stand  , divided we fall" originated in India . People came and went , raped and looted  and we still acknowledge it saying that they left an imprint on our culture thinking about the benefits . We were ruled on upon by muslims and the britishers who i  am greatful to because if it were not for them we wudnt have been  a country  first of all. We cud have well been like Africa  with the marathis  fighting  north indian states ,bihar  breeding corruption and west bengal totally un - indutrialised . The south indian states karnata and andhra pradesh would also be warring over water issues  . Just  come to think about  this chaotic situation ? But democracy hasnt  changed the picture very much . There are still disputes though there is no full fledged war but still damage is being caused . This is where i think that us being a party system democracy was a huge mistake .In my opinion the centre shud be vested with more power and the party system should be done away with this would automatically rid the nation of half of the evils . But the most important thing is that we have to change our attitude....

Il give  you a crowning example in all its glory -- after the recent aftermath of the TAJ affair ...the deputy CM of maharashtratotally oblivious of the feelings of people and  high on power had the audacity to say" Bade shehron mein aisi baaten hoti rehti hain" . When the 9/11 incident happened G.W Bush went straight ahead to ground zero and acknowledged that America had been hit pretty bad with terrorism and made a pledge that "those who attacked america wont be spared" . on the other hand the dirty politics continues in india and instead of demanding action on the culprits we are asking for minisiters to resign . Has  any party talked about unity in such a situation .. has any party talked about revenge ... ..???

NO

As i had already mentioned in one of my earlier posts ..We indians think " chal raha hai chalne do "  the mumbai scene would be forgotten in about 3 or 4 months and then we would be hit yet again by some tragedy .

And then ill write another post reminding you guys  yet again .

THE DRAGON vs THE ELEPHANT

WARNING: i would like to clear this in advance that the language used here may be explicit and may hurt ur sentiments of Indianness , also, you rosy dellusions about india shining may be shattered, so if you want to keep living in this glass house you are most welcome and are advised to skip this blog .. if you want to correct me or give some advice you are most welcome

Sunday, August 24 was a historic day and would go in the annals of history as the day when Jaques Rogge (IOC , prez) formally announced the end of the BEIJING olympics but this day will also be remembered as the day CHINA reigned supreme for the first time packing a punch which was just too much for the rest of the world to take in. With its mammoth haul of more than 50 gold medals in the olympics , china has given a stern warning to the rest of the world. India on the other hand with just 1 gold medal cut out a sorry figure( that too of a mistake committed by the Chinese guy.... u cud make that out from the look of disappointed that had marred his face... in simple words bindra got damn lucky)....
and guess what the indian media was hailing the indian olympic contingent for their performance .... dun u think that small countries like nigeria , war torn georgia ,jamaica, belarus, and god knows which all countries had secured more gold...... here you can't complain about the facilities being provided..... did the guys from afghanistan or nigeria get more facilities..... and people say about the talent pool in india... ohh cummon.. u gotto be kidding
What else , the indian media splashed the news as if india had topped the medal tally. Yes media... one of the other major culprits responsible for india's present diabolical state. ( ill discuss about the media in some other blog )......
OK, let me cut the crap and put this straight infront of you China is superior to India in every respect .
Certainly, in absolute numbers, the Chinese are way ahead. Their export of electronic goods now tops $180 billion a year. One out of every three shoes exported in the world is made in China. They make 75% of the world's toys. Foreign direct investment is at the level of $70 billion a year (for comparison, India gets $15 billion). Shanghai alone has nearly 4,000 skyscrapers (more than all of India, and exceeding Los Angeles and Chicago combined). China has built an estimated 60,000 kilometers of expressways in less than two decades and will soon outstrip the total length of the US highway network. Per capita income has risen nearly 10-fold since 1978 to over $6,000 a head, and the number of people living in absolute poverty has dropped from 425 million two decades ago to 26 million today. The population is almost totally literate; life expectancy is reaching developed-country levels. This year, China is expected to overtake Germany to become the world's third largest economy, behind the US and Japan. It won't stay Number Three for long.

Now lets talk about india.....
ON one hand there is J&K issue which has been a thorn in the fles for eternity now , there are naxalite issues in jharkhand and in warangal region , just a few days back indian democracy had to face the harsh picrure where MP's openly displayed crores of money in public strangling all sentiments of a clean democracy.
But what's the root cause of all this =====>> there ought to be something wrong with us. I personally think so. We indians have a very demented mentality... most of us if not all tend to think " chal raha hai na.... chalne do... khaali peeli tension kyun lete ho".. here is where china is different... in everyhing they do they strive for excellence... this is what is lacking in indian public... How many Bill Gates , Steve Jobs or rupert murdoch for that sake has indioa produced?? How many companies like intel , microsoft , apple , Ge are indian???
Barring TATAS i dun think anyone can have a say in this....Lets get it straight,
..... IT boom was just because you get cheap grads here who dolefully subject themselves to whatever work given to them...

Ohh cummon .. it's in our history and our genes to get subjugated and lose . History pays a homage to this fact... Our Mother India got raped umpteeen by tughlaqs , Persians , Mughals , Britishers and more recently Corruption. We cudnt do anything in the past and we wont be able to do anything in future.... " kehte hain na chal raha hai ... chalne do" Personally , i feel we cud have gained independence 50 years in advance , only if indians didnt support the man they called mahatma. Im not demeaning him in any manner here... but seriously a mass civil revolution like the french or the russian ne wud have been enough . But then again we had such a laidback attitude... we wanted it to be non-violent. BULLSHIT..... ask yourselves.... FREEDOM IS MORE IMPORTANT OR THE MANNER YOU GET IT IN?.......what else due to such aimpotent attitude we got what we deserved.... partition. You can gauge the incompetence of the indian leaders then also ... some strong determined stand would have changed the picture... but no " CHAL RAHA HAI NA... CHALNE DO"

INDIA needs a strong leadership at the moment.... democracy plagued with corruption is the worst form of government..... time has come for a change ....
India got raped by btitishers and jus like aids they transmitted democracy
